Introduction
Located
in Glasgow, I follow a behavioural/contractual
approach to therapy which essentially believes
that each individual has the power to change
whatever they want about themselves
and the answer to make these changes comes from
them as they make new decisions to enable a
better way of managing their lives.
I
see my role as supporting my clients through
this process as they embark on a journey of
self awareness, this can sometimes be a difficult
and uncomfortable journey.
I
have been involved in counselling since 1990
both voluntary and private practice.
My
background is in Nursing and my qualifications
are RGN, ONC. BSc in Health Studies and I also
hold a Post-graduate diploma in communication
and counselling with a Transactional Analysis
model, from Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
I
am a member of the British association of counsellors
and psychotherapists (BACP) and also the United
Kingdom of counsellors and psychotherapists
(UKCP) and work to their code of ethics.
